Our mission and story

Sprucewood - A Specialist & Innovative Children’s Residential Service

established in 2021, attempts to meet the needs of young children (6-13 years) who have complex developmental trauma, associated attachment difficulties and emotional/behavioural challenges by providing them with a responsive Neuro Sequential Approach to their Trauma Repair.

Our Specialist Residential Team

The residential team is supported by senior social workers, a psychologist, an art psychotherapist, play therapist, and an occupational therapist who provide training, consultation, individual intervention strategies and case supervision. A professionally qualified a neuro sequentially informed teacher supports each child’s exposure to the world of education. The team is further supported by a nurse and dietician who are available for consultation and advice as required.
