Education

our services

Sprucewood acknowledges the importance of education and we are committed to supporting the children in our care to achieve the best educational outcomes possible. Some children placed have the ability to attend and engage in the mainstream school system, for those children additional educational support is provided by Sprucewood’s teacher, liaising with the child’s school teacher, assistance can be provided with homework or particular educational tasks.

For those children who struggle with the challenges of a mainstream setting and for whom there are external challenges to finding a suitable education placement in a timely fashion, Sprucewood provides one to one education provision facilitated by a qualified teacher, in line with National Curriculum standards, in a purpose designed classroom setting in the grounds of Spruce Cottage.
