Spruce Cottage is a purpose built home with a large private garden and play areas. It is anonymously situated in a pleasant rural community and surrounded by peaceful and calming countryside. It is homely and welcoming in nature and designed with the needs of the children in mind. Separate from the cottage but in the same private grounds is an education, therapy and sensory building, providing onsite access to one to one tutoring in a classroom setting, in line with their individual education plan, an art therapy/play therapy space and an additional sensory room.
It is conveniently located just over three miles from a village providing access to the local general medical practitioner, pharmacist, primary schools, shops, post office, Churches, leisure center, play parks and public transport links. Enniskillen, the nearest large town, is just ten miles away, easily accessed in less than fifteen minutes, offering a wide range of facilities which are intrinsic to the positive social and cultural development of the children in our care. These include South West Acute Hospital and Accident and Emergency Department, primary and secondary schools, youth clubs, community centers, churches, cinema, library, shopping center, museum, a large leisure center and a bus station serving both the North of Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Spruce Cottage has a house car available for each child resident there along with a one to one staffing ratio, permitting immediate access to a vehicle if required for transporting a child to, for example, family contact, health appointments, education, recreational outings, religious observance or general social outings
